At Home Chef, we only work with vendors we believe in. We expect our purveyors to operate within the same quality standards our own employees abide by. As a result, we choose innovative suppliers who are making waves in their given industries; suppliers with sustainable practices, who benefit the ecosystems in which they operate; and suppliers who actively demonstrate respect and appreciation for their employees.

Simply put, we love our suppliers… and we thought it was high time we shared their stories with you!

Headquartered in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, Goodness Greeness is the largest privately held USDA certified organic distributor in the U.S., and the Midwest’s premier source for certified organic produce. The company supplies over 300 retailers with organic food from around the world; from ripe, juicy Spinaca Farms Ataulfo mangoes to organic basil from Meyer Farms in Wauconda, Illinois. Because of this shared focus on the global organic marketplace and local growers, alike, every Goodness Greeness customer benefits.

Goodness Greeness President, Bob Scaman, founded the company in 1991, and has continually ensured that Goodness Greeness sources and distributes the widest variety of fresh organic produce to its customers. Bob and his small team are, likewise, committed to educating consumers about the benefits of organic food. Plus, they consistently support local growers by buying as much local organic produce as possible, and backing organizations like Farm Aid that sponsor family farms.
